I was thinking about creating a series about my travels to different countries and different states to reflect on what i liked and disliked about that specific place. My first part of the series is going to be my trip to Poland.
I went to Poland last year to visit family that i have only seen in pictures and to visit the country that my parents were born and raised in. After hearing stories about what it was like from my grandparents and parents i finally could see what it was like.
We left Chicago around 10 PM and sat in an airplane for 8 hours which was probably the longest flight i have ever had in my life. We arrived in Munich because there aren't any roundtrip flights directly to Krakow. The Munich Airport is the most beautiful airport i have ever seen in my life.
After that we took an hour flight to krakow and arrived in Poland.
The air was so different in Poland than in Chicago. It looked so different to things i see back at home and i knew it was going to be amazing.

We visited Zakopane which is home to the Tatry Mountains shown below and it was the prettiest sight i have ever seen. The market below was very lovely too because the people were selling items that were customed to the people that live in the mountains.

We also went to Krakow, one of the biggest cities in Poland. I have always seen it on TV and in pictures and to see it in real life was amazing. The architecture was so beautiful and it felt so different.

The salt mines were incredible! the air down felt so pure and clean i could've lived down there. It was so interesting that salt could have formed down there.

The last place that i went to was Aushwitz. After learning about it for so long in school i finally could see it with my one eyes. It was a very solemn place, but i was happy to visit it. After the tour was finished a group of jewish boys held each other in a circle and started singing in Hebrew and it looked so beautiful.

As you can seen i was all over the place when i visited and i loved meeting my family there. I loved the experience and i loved the food as well.
For the past couple of days I've been missing it a lot lately and have been thinking about going back next year. Thanks for reading!
